Revolvers

Last year I posted about bringing the T441T out of retirement. It is the single most prolific hunting handgun I know of. Lost count of kills with it but all deer and hogs. maybe a few varmints on it but I can't remember. Rey's post about his buck with the 45 Contender has my 45 wheels turning. The second most prolific killer I know of is one of my 45 Blackhawks. I scoped it when I was in my 30s so it has been scoped for a while. I stuck Hogue mono grips on it because I didn't like the plow handles. Some hunters laughed at me scoping the 4 5/8" gun but it proceeded to stack up deer kills like cord wood. I carried it a time or two last year but I am thinking it deserves better. I have loaded so many of its pet load that I have it memorized. 21.5 grs H110, 155 primer and a 300 grain XTP (not the Mag) for 1206 fps with single digit ES numbers. In the last part of season I think I will bring it out a time or two to make sure it still works. Its like putting on a comfortable pair of well worn pants.
