120 grain CEB from 40 S&W w/ data

120 gr CEB chrony

1337 fps from 6" barrel

16.57 ES

Just came in from shooting the 120 grain CEB from the 6" barreled G22. 1337 fps with 16 fps ES. Ragged holes at 25 yards. I won't get to shoot at 100 today. Thinking of leaving it right there. This is a 60 yard deer gun so that's plenty. I will shoot it at 100 for accuracy though. It will be sighted in at 50 yards. Probably taking this combo armidillo hunting. Longshot looks like the go to powder. It gets the highest velocity and does it with less pressure than the other powders. The lab data was from a 4" barrel and my test gun has a 6" barrel so you can see the gain in velocity with the extra barrel length. I haven't came up with a working ballistic coefficient yet. I think CEB is also working on that angle. Hopefully later this week I will get to shoot the ballistic buffalo and compair this bullet to my go to 40 S&W deer load. This data was developed by Hodgdon's lab. The sweet spot is 8.0 grains. I used Starline brass which is very slightly thicker which encroaches into case capacity so 8.0 was a good place to stop.
